Bedrooms
The bedrooms were the only part of the house that were in relatively acceptable condition, however there is never much to bedrooms.

To freshen them up we replaced the carpet, window boards, skirting, doors and repaint. We bought long lengths of bullnose pine for the window boards to keep the theme through all rooms within the house. I think its these details that matter in a quality renovation.

The wallpaper in the third bedroom was not in great condition and as such we decided to remove it. This was a painful exercise as it was well bonded to the wall behind. However overall was a good decision as a lot of the plaster was blown above the window.

We also needed to move the radiators in each room as they were terribly located. For this a few floorboards required lifting and pipework re-routed to the new locations underneath the windows. I capitalised on the mess and lifted floorboards and relocated a few electrical sockets aswell.
