This room was left quite late into the renovation as in theory it didn't require much work. This idea was our first mistake as removing the old floor was a challenging task. Old bitumen underlay had dried solid and required chipping away to reveal the concrete floor below.

The concrete was not level so required a self level pour aswell. The rest of the room was more straight forward with new lighting, paint, door and window board. Overall a freshen up was in order. Kind of a common theme with everything else...

We kept it simple and went for an oak effect laminate floor which was very simple to lay and really lifted the room. It was also rather warm underfoot which was quite a surprise.
